We use specialist contractors who will accurately template with laser technology and fabricate off site with CNC machinery. Laser technology minimises the risk of measurement errors at the templating stages and as everything is electronically measured, the details can be emailed direct from site and patched into the CNC cutters.

From initial templating, your worktop order could be processed and initial fabrication could be started in as little as a matter of hours. Typical lead times from fabrication to installation can be as little as four working days. We work closely with our contractors to book templating dates as early into the project as possible so that when the installers arrive, the worktop installation is one of the last operations to be performed.

Wooden worktops are more commonly installed in traditional kitchens such as Shaker styled kitchens. We fabricate all wooden worktops on site, and they can be cut, shaped and formed to any style.

Fabrication and installation is usually a four part process:

  • Cut and dry fit

  • Apply two coats of oil to underside and cutouts

  • Install and joint

  • Apply three coats of oil to topside.

Wooden worktops require a greater duty of care than other worktops in that they require sanding and refinishing at least twice a year dependent on use and they are particularly susceptible to direct heat and prolonged moisture contact.

The onus is on you, the customer to perform regular maintenance post installation but with the right level of care, they will outperform other surfaces such as laminates and solid surface worktops for many years - and the overall effect can be stunning!
