I need a new kitchen – what do I need to do?

Firstly, contact me using any of the methods on the Contact Page
I will then contact you to make a mutually convenient appointment to accurately measure your kitchen, discuss your requirements and offer any advice or answer any questions you may have. I will then take away the information I have and prepare at my leisure a design based on your requirements. You will then be supplied with a set of 3D renders to give you an idea of how our kitchen should look as well as a quotation. This whole process normally takes no more than a couple of days.

How long should the whole job take?

That depends entirely on the scale of the project. A basic kitchen installation can be done in 3 to 4 days without tiling or any major works such as replastering and relocation of electrical and gas services.
Most of my projects tend to be full refurbishments which can involve completely replastering so as to give a better surface for final decoration as well as wall tiling and floor covering. These projects tend to take 7 to 10 days.

How will my life be affected during the installation?

For the most part the kitchen will be out of bounds. Temporary connections for washing machines can be made for instance but as far as cooking is concerned this is your chance to try out the local eateries or your microwave!

Will you be cutting off my water and electricity during the installation?

Absolutely not! There are occasions, naturally, when this needs to be done to make alterations but all services are restored by the end of the day!

What about things like gas and electric? Who carries out this work?

I have a large list of gas engineers who will safely and legally carry out gas alterations and connections of appliances. I am qualified to carry out the electrical work myself although I will occasionally contract other electricians to do the work.
